at Atlanta (Turner Field), Saturn lead series 1-0
The Saturn were rude to their hosts, besting the Jabronies in Atlanta 6-4.
Kevin Brown pitched a complete game for the win, beating Tim Hudson and
reliever Keith Foulke. Will Clark, fresh off a batting title in his final
ALB season, had a home run for the Saturn, as did pinch hitter J.D. Drew
in his first ALB postseason game. Jim Thome had a 2-run blast for the
Jabronies.

In a game-day change, the Saturn benched CF Alex Ochoa in favor of J.D. Drew
for game 2. Drew led the club to an 11-3 thrashing of the Jabronies, going
3 for 5 with a home run and 4 RBI. Tony Batista and Joe Girardi also homered,
as Garrett Stephenson pitched 6 solid innings for the win. The Saturn take a 2-0
lead in the best-of-seven series. The Jabronies' Chan Ho Park didn't make it out
of the first inning, and Joe Oliver went deep in the losing effort. Game 3
moves to Waturbury.

Benson of the Saturn took a shutout into the 9th inning, but a late rally by
the Jabronies sent the game into extra frames. Mike Myers blew the save. Trevor
Hoffman pitched two innings for the win, with Mike Stanton taking the loss.
The Saturn hold a 2-1 series lead.

Wood pitched well but was pulled in the 5th after getting into trouble. The
bullpen proceeded to collapse, allowing 4 runs in the last 2 innings.

at Tijuana (Neutral Park), Damage Inc lead series 3-1
The Tortfeasors' frustrations boiled over after 2 straight losses to Damage
Inc and injuries to Jeff D'Amico (Game 1) and Andres Galarraga (Game 2). In
the 2nd inning, starter Glendon Rusch threw at Richard Hidalgo, who charged
the mound. The benches cleared and both Rusch and Hidalgo were ejected. In
a game also marred by a half hour rain delay, the Damage unleashed a barrage
of runs against the Tortfeasor bullpen for a 9-1 win. Scott Elarton got the
win with 7 1/3 strong innings. The Damage lead the series 3-1.
